For sale, we have a very nice Artley 18s Prelude composite Bb clarinet. As you can see in the photos, the clarinet looks very clean and it is in great condition.
The main bodies are composite with silver plated keys and the keys do have a little plating wear, but nothing major. General wear from previous playing. This clarinet was definitely well taken care of and not abused. Smoke Free! These typically are a student model but, Artley is a big brand and well made with quality parts and workmanship, so it could serve as an intermediary level too!
Complete with a factory A (Artley) Precision mouthpiece, ligature and molded hardshell case. Lastly, the hardshell case is in good condition, looks like it has some chrome tarnish and glitter on the back but nothing major. All latches, hinges and handle work as they should. This clarinet is good to go after our professional cleaning and adjustments! Plays and sounds excellent!
Midlothian Music is a service center, we soak, clean and sanitize every instrument. The tone holes and inner bore are scrubbed as well as all of the keys and armature. During reassembly we adjust all keys to a light finger touch. Lastly the mouthpiece is soaked, scrubbed and sanitized and placed in a zip loc bag. Pads and key corks inspected, cleaned and replaced if needed. The joint corks are inspected and replaced if necessary. It is also leak tested before placing in the cleaned case. This instrument plays extremely well and you won't be disappointed!
